Region 211 serves Kalamazoo, Oshtemo, and Parchment.  We are proud to offer 3 programs to our youth soccer players:

  • Core Soccer
This is the program most kids will fall into – beginning at age 4 and going through age 18, each division is intended to provide both beginning soccer skills and competitive play. ($105 per player if registered prior to July 1, $130 after - fee covers Fall & Spring)
  •  VIP Special Needs
This program is for players of all ages with developmental or physical disabilities who want to enjoy the fun and exercise of soccer! ($20 per player - fee covers Fall & Spring)
  •  Playground
This program is a recreational, instructional program for our littlest stars, ages 3 and 4, introducing them to soccer and playing on a team!  ($60 per player - fee covers Fall only, Spring will have a separate registration period.)

*6U, 8U, 10U and 12U have both Coed and Girls only teams, selected during registration.

Division placement is based on birth YEAR, not age or grade. When you register for our program, you will only be shown divisions that are appropriate based on birth year, so please do not fear being placed in the wrong division!

Seasons

Core and VIP run Fall to Spring, meaning you will register in the summer for a season beginning in the Fall, there will be a long break over the winter, and then the same teams will pick back up again for the Spring. The fee paid covers this entire season. There is no proration for only doing part of the season, as our fees are based on annual expenses.

Playground runs Fall and Spring separately, so you will want to sign your player up separately for both. Spring registration for Playground will open New Years Day.

Schedules

Each year, games are scheduled based on field availability and number of teams per division, so we cannot be sure when a given division will play until we are deeper into registration. We will typically know this for sure by August. All games will be either Friday nights at 6pm or sometime Saturday between 9am and 1pm.

5U does not have a practice outside of the one weekly game time. Other Core divisions will have one weekly practice outside of the game. "When will my practice be?" is definitely in the Top 5 of questions we get every year. Practices are set by the coach -- days and times will be communicated to you by the coach in late August after you've been assigned to a team. Of course, it is difficult to plan when you don't know when these practices will be - this is a fantastic reason to consider volunteering to coach -- not only do you get amazingly fun time with your kid, you get to choose the practice time! If you are unable to do that, our coaches are parents themselves and are usually very open to finding times that work for most of the team.

Volunteering

Our program is run entirely by volunteers. The number of teams we can form and kids who are able to play is directly related to the number of coaches and referees we are able to recruit. We will provide all the training necessary – all you need is a willingness to help! You register as a volunteer through the same system you register your child to play.
