    Board of Directors

    The Board oversees all aspects of the program. In addition to required positions, our Region may include additional roles based on its needs. Below is a brief description of each required role:

    • Regional Commissioner — Leads the Region and Regional Board, ensuring a vibrant and growing program that meets community needs and provides as manyplayers as possible with the AYSO experience. Oversees strategy, finances, volunteer recruitment, scheduling, policies and procedures, and overall program growth—while keeping the focus on making soccer fun for every player.
    • Registrar — Manages the annual player registration process, including selecting sign-up locations, coordinating registration events, and collecting applications and fees.
    • Treasurer — Oversees all regional financial activities and recordkeeping, including registration funds, deposits, bill payments, and account management.
    • Safety Director — Ensures compliance with safety requirements and oversees the maintenance of all equipment, fields, nets, and facilities.
    • Coach Administrator — Leads and supports the Region’s volunteer coaching program, including recruitment, training coordination, and ongoing development.
    • Referee Administrator — Implements the AYSO National Referee Program at the regional level, including training, certification, and referee development.
    • Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA) — Manages the annual registration and screening of all volunteers in accordance with Safe Haven® guidelines, including application collection, background checks, and compliance with laws protecting children.

    Additional (Non-Mandatory) Board Roles

    •  Communications Director and Webmaster  Coordinates communication with parents, members of the public, volunteers through website, social media, email, and other methods; manages content and design of all regional web representations.
    •  Equipment & Concessions Director    Manages regional inventory of supplies for sale and concessions program.

    Volunteering

    Interested in helping out? We’d love to have you! Whether it’s one of the roles below or something new you’d like to bring to the Region, feel free to reach out to any Board Member—we’re always looking for great volunteers.

    Below are the positions we are currently seeking to fill:

    • Field Support — Assist on game days by setting up and moving goals, helping families find fields, providing general direction, reporting injuries, and supporting field operations (including driving the golf cart).
    • Concessions — Help run the concession stand on game days by selling coffee, donuts, and other snacks.
    • Coach — Spend quality time with your child while leading a team. We provide training, coaching materials, and equipment—no experience needed. Coaches run practices, manage game lineups, and communicate with parents. All are welcome to volunteer.
    • Assistant Coach — Support the head coach during practices and games. Training is provided.
    • Referee — No experience needed—we provide training and equipment. Learn the laws of the game and help officiate matches (including your child’s games if you’d like).
    • Special Events — Assist with events such as Picture Day and Awards Ceremonies, including traffic control and general event support.
    • Fields and Grounds — Help maintain field conditions, including lining fields (typically done once prior to each playing session) and ensuring fields are safe and ready for play..
